Thornhill Lutheran Church is a member of the Eastern Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada. It is located at 149 Bay Thorn Drive in Markham, Ontario. On January 1, 2017 the congregation was renamed Thornhill Lutheran Church. The previous name was Christ the King-Dietrich Bonhoeffer Lutheran Church.

Christ the King Lutheran Church was founded in 1966 as a Community Church, attracting English speaking Lutherans. The congregation owned a parsonage and in 1968 laid the cornerstone for a church building.

Dietrich Bonhoeffer Lutheran Church was founded in November 1979, providing English and German services.

In January 1989 Christ the King Lutheran Church and Diethrich Bonhoffer Lutheran Church combined to form Christ the King-Dietrich Bonhoeffer Lutheran Church.
