St. Stephen's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Deep River, Ontario was a member of the United Lutheran Church in America. It was established as a mission of the Evangelical Lutheran Synod of Canada in October 1961. It was formally organized on January 14, 1962 and admitted to the Evangelical Lutheran Synod of Canada in June 1962. At that time, it entered into a parish relationship with Trinty Lutheran Church (Chalk River, ON).

In 1964 St. Stephen's Evangelical Lutheran Church and Trinity Lutheran Church merged to form Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church in Deep River, Ontario.
