Administrative history

The Laurier Lecture Series was established in 1973, with the intention of stimulating the intellectual and cultural environment on campus. Noted speakers were invited to share their diverse interests and expertise with the Wilfrid Laurier University community. The lectures were open to the public and admission was free.

The Laurier Lecture Committee reported to the vice-president: academic. The Committee was responsible for preparing and coordinating public lectures and debates.
