Dates of existence

The Kitchener-Waterloo Community Concert Association (1929-1993) was a volunteer association which organized performances by major international entertainers, providing low-cost performances to the public. The Association was established as the first Community Concerts chapter in Canada, at a time when the "organized audience movement" was getting started in the USA. This was an offshoot of the Talent Agency, Columbia Artists. The Association organized 253 concerts, which featured many different types of performers including soloists, violinists, string quartets, choirs, pianist, and dancers. The Kitchener-Waterloo Community Concert Association sponsored its last concert on April 5, 1992 and ceased operation in 1993.
