Biographical history

Brooke (Findlay) Skelton, UE was Head of Cataloguing at Wilfrid Laurier University Library. She worked as a librarian at Waterloo Lutheran and Wilfrid Laurier Universities from 1972 until her retirement in 2011. Brooke Findlay earned her B.A. (History) at Brandon University in 1970 and her M.L.S. at the University of Toronto in 1972. An interest in genealogy and family history led Brooke Skelton to obtain a PLCGS (Professional Learning Certificate in Genealogical Studies) from the National Institute for Genealogical Studies, affiliated with the University of Toronto, in 2008. She has been actively involved with the Ontario Genealogical Society, Waterloo Region Branch, for several years.
