2011 Ontario General Election Exit Survey

This study is an exit poll of the 40th Ontario General Election, performed on October 6, 2011. An online survey tool was used to examine voter attitudes and preferences in the 40th Ontario general election. Respondents provide information regarding government and party leader preferences, issues that affected the election campaign, as well as priorities for the new government. This study includes tabulated aggregate statistics that analyze significant issues in the dataset against key socioeconomic characteristics. This study has a sample of 8,893 respondents.

2011 Canada General Election Invitation Survey

This study is an Ipsos Canada Invitation Survey prior to the 41st Canadian General Election. The Invitation Survey was performed April 28 - May 2, 2011, leading to the election and Ipsos election day survey on May 2, 2011. An online survey tool was used to examine voter intentions and opinions prior to the 41st Canadian general election. Respondents provided information regarding government and party leader preferences, as well as opinions on potential minority or coalition government scenarios. Respondents were asked to consider their personal financial situation and potential change in the next year, as well as policy priorities for the next government. Respondents were also asked a series of questions on the Canadian Forces, Post Trauma Syndrome (PTS), and mental health. This study has a sample of 50,433 respondents.

This study includes tabulated aggregate statistics that analyze significant issues in the dataset against socioeconomic and demographic characteristics. This study has a sample of 15,304 respondents.

This study is an exit poll of the 40th British Columbia General Election, performed on May 14, 2013. An online survey tool was used to examine voter attitudes and preferences in the 40th British Columbia general election. Respondents provide information regarding government and party leader preferences, as well as priorities for the new government. This study has a sample of 1400 respondents.

2014 Ontario Provincial Election Staging Survey

This staging survey is a recruiting survey for Ipsos Canada polls held during the 41st Ontario General Election, held on June 12, 2014. An online survey tool was used to identify respondents willing to participate in Ipsos pre-debate and post-debate surveys, as well as a series of mini-polls known as the 5-Week Omnibus Survey. Within the staging survey itself, Respondents reveal their voter attitudes and preferences in the 41st Ontario general election, including voting intention, leadership abilities of party leaders, as well as the biggest issues facing Ontarians during the election. This study has a sample of 9,727 respondents.

2014 Ontario Provincial Election Pre-Debate Survey

This study is a Pre-Debate Survey conducted by Ipsos Canada on the day of and just prior to the Leader's Debate for the 2014 Ontario General Election, June 3, 2014. An online survey tool was used to examine Respondents' perceptions of the leaders of the three major political parties, as well as their voting intentions in the election. Respondents were also queried on the leaders' policies and their performance in the debate, their own forecasted election outcomes, and current issues affecting the campaign. Respondents to the 2014 Ontario General Election Staging Survey were specifically invited to participate in this poll. This study has a sample of 2,287 respondents.

2014 Ontario Provincial Election Omnibus Rollup

This study is a 5-week omnibus survey conducted during the 41st Ontario General Election, held on June 12, 2014. An online survey tool was used to examine voter attitudes and preferences in the 41st Ontario general election. Respondents were polled in five waves:
Wave 1, May 6-9 (n=821)
Wave 2, May 12-14 (n=801)
Wave 3, May 20-21 (n=800)
Wave 4, May 26-29 (n=868)
Wave 5, June 3 (post-debate) - June 6 (n=2,140).

Respondents provide information regarding government and party leader preferences, party support, issues that affected the election campaign, as well as priorities for the new government. These 5 waves were then merged into one dataset (total n=5,430); not all Respondents volunteered their time for each wave. Respondents include individuals recruited through the Ipsos Canada 2014 Ontario General Election Staging Survey.

IPSOS Vote Intention Surveys

Ipsos Canada's Vote Intention Surveys track voter intention prior to and during Canada's electoral campaigns. Short surveys focusing on key questions regarding vote intention and preferences allow Ipsos to put polls in the field repeatedly in the run-up to, and through campaigns.
