West Side Lands

This series contains records created and complied by Lanteigne about the residential subdivision developments off Wilmot Line in Waterloo County, collectively called the West Side Lands. Lanteigne is concerned about the environmental impacts of these developments and the paving of Wilmot Line. Includes documents, correspondence, newspaper clippings, and maps. Also includes documents related to her fight against the Ontario Municipal Board.

Line 9B reversal and Line 9 Capacity Expansion Project

This series contains information about Lanteigne’s opposition to the Enbridge Pipelines Inc. application to the National Energy Board for reversal of Line 9B (Westover Station in Ontario to Montreal, Quebec) and the Line 9 Capacity Expansion Project (from Sarnia, Ontario to Montreal, Quebec). In 2013 Lanteigne filed a formal complaint with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO), which was returned. PEO had no jurisdictional power to investigate the concerns regarding Line 9.

File 3.4 contains the sworn affidavit and attachments that Lanteigne submitted to the federal Liberal cabinet in 2016, to inform them of the observations she made as a delegate of the Line 9 hearings.

Environmental Bill of Rights review

This series contains information about the successful Application for Review under Part IV of the Environmental Bill of Rights (EBR) requesting an amendment to the Environmental Protection Act (EPA) to include a policy/procedure to standardize municipal spills response. Louisette Lanteigne and Alexander David submitted the application in May 2015. The Ministry of the Environment and Climate Change (MOECC) review determined that spill event information will be posted on the Ontario Government’s Open Data Catalogue website and that a web-based system is proposed to monitor spill events in real time and allow the public to view the status and response of spill events.

Northern Gateway Pipelines

This series contains material related to the Enbridge Northern Gateway Pipeline project to build a twin pipline that will run approximately 1,177 km from Bruderheim, Alberta, across northern British Columbia, to the deep-water port of Kitimat. Includes the 2016 extension request, background information, and a response letter written by Louisette Lanteigne.

Line 10 Westover Segment Replacement Project

This series contains Louisette Lanteigne' s 2016 affidavit regarding Enbridge's Line 10 Westover Segment Replacement Project. This maintenance project will replace 32 kilometres of existing 12 inch-diameter Line 10 pipe with 35 km of new 20 inch-diameter pipe. It would connect Enbridge’s Westover Terminal to its Nanticoke Junction Facility in Hamilton, Ontario.
