This series contains records of the Evangelical Lutheran Synod of Nova Scotia, and its predecessors.

The Evangelical Lutheran Synod of Nova Scotia (1903-1962) was organized at the 75th meeting of the Nova Scotia Conference of the Pittsburg Synod, held in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia on July 9-13, 1903. At this meeting the Nova Scotia Conference became the Evangelial Lutheran Synod of Nova Scotia.

In 1918 the Evangelical Lutheran Synod of Nova Scotia became part of the United Lutheran Church in America. The Synod was reorganized in 1962 when it became part of the Lutheran Church in America.
